Mardi Gras Experience

I am happy to announce that I got the chance to experience my first Mardi Gras in New Orleans! I had a great time getting off campus and having fun with my friends. It was exciting seeing the floats, the float riders and everyone in the parade having a good time. What surprised me was the number of people that came out for the parades. I knew there was going to be a crowd but I did not know it was that big! I was also shocked by the amount of fun I was having catching beads LOL! For my first parade following up to Mardi Gras being Endymion I had a good amount of beads but not as much compared to others, I saw with loads and loads wrapped around them. I know their necks had to be in pain. Next year, I want to participate in other festivities and go to more parades because it looked like a lot of fun seeing videos of other people attending these events. Also, so I can learn more about the city and Mardi Gras culture.
